The object of this research is the drawing ‘La Bella Principessa’. The research revealed that in this drawing the sitter belonged specifically to the Milanese court of the 1490s, with its fashion for elaborately bound hair.

Through the program Paint X, we moved two details circled along the faint contour by the author himself.

The received imaging includes the larynx, trachea, two main bronchi and right lung. In our view, in that era, image of the trachea, bronchi and lung must have been associated with either singing or respiratory illnesses, such as tuberculosis, which was often the cause of death.

In our opinion, the author of the drawing ‘La Bella Principessa’ is Leonardo da Vinci, who secretly described the human respiratory system in it.
